“I was the first to look up on Facebook about this and hesitantly turned some of the lugnuts. I texted my friend to come help me and we attracted some attention and opened the pig together. It was tempting but we all agreeed that giving the money to people in need was a good idea. Irish Cancer Society took most of the notes. While myself and some others took some and gave it to homeless. We also tried to explain to everyone what was going on. We offered people money and maybe because we’re Corkconians, we were all too scared to take money for ourselves. I guess when you dont earn the money fairly, you feel hesitant to take it.”
