“It’s really interesting that there’s money there that I could have, but I’m not going to take it. What is that moral decision?”

Kelburn Garden Party, Scotland – 06/07/2019

“This is an amazing project. We looked at it at night and it felt very different. It’s like a dystopian or utopian future but you don’t know which.”

Pigzine reporter: “You’re the first person from Kelburn to open Pig. What are you going to do with the money?”

Young girl: “I’m going to buy lollipops for everyone.”

“For who?”

“Everyone at Kelburn.”

“How many lollipops is that?”

“100…. probably.”

One of the other girls: “No not lollipops.”

Dad: “We all have to agree before we can open it. It doesn’t work if you can’t get everyone to agree – we can come back later when you’ve agreed”

“I need to think of a really good idea now. I don’t trust the rest of humanity to spend it on something good so I need to think of a really really good idea just to rip the band-aid off. Maybe I’ll build a hedgehog farm.”

“It’s not a social experiment because we already knew what the outcome would be before… it will come to Cork and will get cleared out!

“Wow, this is the biggest piggy bank I’ve ever seen… I guess it’s street art. Maybe a metaphor for something. It’s very unusual. I like it. I’m going to take a photo of it.”

“I don’t know about you, but I can really see right through it!”

“I don’t get this, I saw this the other day. There was loads of money in it and now there’s not much there so I think people have been taking it! I wonder if it’s left out overnight?”

“Hang on, does that actually say what I thought it said?”

“What, that’s so weird, anyone can open it?”

“Hang on, let me proof-read this, hahaha, this is unbelievable!”
